PATH OF THE HEROINE:

I began this project a few years ago after revisiting the works of Joseph Campbell. Following one's bliss is not a destination, but a journey. This collection attempts to demonstrate and celebrate the journey of love we all make through life, and the search for the truth within ourselves.

This project began for me as an examination of and reflection on deep and long-held memory and the experience of processing loss and grief. It celebrates the experiences of a life well-lived, while recognizing the continuity of loss and rebirth.

I began this project with no real sense of direction and no particular agenda. I was in the throes of processing some significant changes in my life, and I wasn't thinking about where I wanted to direct my energies or what I wanted to create. What followed, while initially somewhat disjointed, began to develop into a reflection on the relationships in my life, and particularly those that have been most significant to my growth and understanding of life.

Project Overview
This project, while still developing, is quickly coalescing into an examination of how and why change affects the way we relate to the world around us and to one another. The collection is scheduled for completion in late 2025.
WALK ON FAITH: A HISTORY OF TEXAS IMMIGRANT CHURCHES
Project Overview
I started this project as a tribute to my ancestors who, as European Craftsmen, contributed to the collection of lovely, white frame churches that dot the countryside of Central Texas. I have long been fascinated, not only with the buildings themselves, but with the people who founded and built them. Texas is a racially and religiously diverse environment, and this project celebrates that diversity and the history that made it possible.
